Chee Mei Sin

Sin Chee Mei is a corporate secretarial and governance professional with over 27 years of experience across a broad range of industries, including more than 23 years specialising in advising publicly listed companies. Throughout her career, she has provided corporate secretarial, governance and regulatory advisory services to about 40 listed entities across diverse sectors.

Prior to joining BDO Singapore, she held senior leadership positions with leading corporate service providers and gained in-house experience with major corporations. She has overseen the full spectrum of corporate secretarial functions and advised boards, senior management and stakeholders on corporate governance, statutory and listing compliance, regulatory requirements and corporate actions.

Her core expertise encompasses corporate governance and board advisory, company law, listing rules and governance codes, statutory and listing compliance, and board and shareholder meeting administration. She has extensive experience providing corporate secretarial and governance support for complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, amalgamations, restructurings, capital reductions and cross-border investments. She has also advised on complex corporate matters, including shareholder disputes, board and management transitions and regulatory reviews, providing practical advice on governance, compliance, regulatory requirements and stakeholder considerations.

She currently serves on the Corporate Service Providers Advisory Panel of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), contributing her industry experience and practical insights to matters relating to Singapore’s corporate services sector and regulatory framework.

In addition to her corporate secretarial and governance practice, she also advises on immigration matters, including work passes, Dependant’s Passes, Long-Term Visit Passes, permanent residency and citizenship applications, helping clients navigate regulatory requirements, application processes and policy considerations.
