Many countries have imposed entry restrictions and border closures to contain the spread of COVID-19. Stranded employees of Japanese companies may potentially face tax issues as a result of the border control measures. BDO Japan Desk in Singapore will be organising a webinar on this topic for the Japanese companies. The webinar will also feature speakers from BDO in Japan. The webinar will cover potential tax issues, including the employee’s individual tax matters.

COVID-19の感染拡大を阻止するため、多くの国で渡航規制が続いています。渡航規制により、シンガポールの現地法人に赴任予定であった役員・従業員が日本へ留まるケースや、現地法人の従業員が長期に渡って日本に一時帰国するケースも見られます。これらのケースは、恒久的施設(PE)の発生や、無対価の関係会社間の役務提供など、潜在的な税務上の問題を発生させる可能性があります。また、当該従業員の個人所得税上の問題についても整理が必要となるでしょう。

本ウェビナーでは、日本とシンガポール両国で発生する可能性のある税務上の問題を取り上げて解説したいと考えております。
