Financial Reporting Standards Update 2011, 13 October 2011
Targeting users of financial information, ranging from Chief Financial Officers to Accountants, this one-day conference attracted more than 80 delegates as they seek to stay relevant and evolve in response to the ever changing financial landscape.
Thoughtfully presented by our Audit and Assurance Partners, Ms. Lim Ai Leen and Mr. Lai Keng Wai, the informative seminar provided not only a snapshot of the recent developments in financial reporting standards both locally and internationally, but also insights and practical directional guidance to their implementation.
BDO Budget Update 2011, 1 March 2011
Over 60 participants joined our Budget Update 2011 seminar to understand the key budget changes in 2011 and its impact on the current economy, corporations and businesses. Attendees learnt more about the key implications of this year’s Budget. The session was led by our Head of Tax, Mr Rohan Solapurkar. We were joined by Dr Tan Kee Wee, an independent economist who commented on the economics relevant to Budget 2011. Other speakers included, Associate Director, Michelle Seat and Senior Tax Consultant, Manmohan Singh.

Business Continuity Management, 20 January 2011
BDO Consultants organised this half-day complimentary seminar for a group of 20 clients. The seminar provided attendees with the fundamentals of Business Continuity Management to add value to their business. Guest speakers were Philip Kee, Vice President of Institute of Management Consultants Singapore and Alwi Hafiz, Managing Director of BSI Group (Singapore) Pte Ltd.
