BDO helps Russia secure the role of 2018 World Cup host
BDO Russia was an official consultant for the 2018/2022 Bid Committee and the Russian Football Union (RFU). The firm provided substantial support, particularly in the areas of management and finance.
When BDO was first appointed as advisers, CEO of the Bid Committee and the RFU Alexey Sorokin said; “The compilation of the comprehensive bid documents, as well as the coordination of our work with a large number of private and governmental stakeholders, require a great deal of legal, financial, auditing and consulting expertise. With BDO in Russia the Bid Committee can count on such highly specialised know-how in these crucial areas.”
This is the second time the Russian firm has helped secure a major international event, as they provided professional support for the successful Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games campaign.
