BDO Spain hosts European Outsourcing Conference
From 6-8 April, BDO Spain hosted the BDO European Outsourcing Conference in Barcelona. This was the first Outsourcing-specific regional meeting and specialists from a large number of BDO’s European offices were present, with the UK, Holland, Spain, Germany, France, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Russia, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium, Denmark and Romania all represented.
The conference was opened by Alfonso Osorio, Chairman of BDO Spain. Also present was Simon Watson, partner of BDO UK who was recently appointed Head of Global Outsourcing for BDO internationally. Simon led the discussions, together with Emilio Margallo and Pedro Ríos, Directors of the BDO Barcelona and Madrid offices, respectively.
The conference focused on the main challenges in the outsourcing market and the firm’s role as a global player over the next few years. Participants also had the opportunity to discuss matters relating to organisation, harmonisation, the creation of new service lines, technological developments and marketing and communications, and helped to draw up the bases of the international Action Plan for this business line.
The BDO European Outsourcing Conference was enormously satisfactory and fruitful for both BDO Spain and the network as a whole, resulting in the establishment of European performance guidelines and helping to boost relations between the professionals who are directly involved in the firm’s outsourcing services.
