Lim Der Shing, Chief Executive of JobsCentral Pte Ltd, shares his positive experience engaging BDO, one of the consultants at IE Singapore’s Advisory Centre, for a market feasibility study.
While Jobscentral Pte Ltd has successfully ventured into Malaysia via its own accord, JobsCentral Pte Ltd sought expert help to accelerate its expansion plans into other countries and to shorten their learning process.
What was your experience with BDO Consultants?
At the meeting, BDO first asked about our business plans and then BDO’s Associate Director, Mr. Roger Loo, suggested that we do a market feasibility study to help us identify the cities to target. We found BDO’s advice useful as they helped us do a good scoping of the market size and players in the Philippines and Australia. They also put us in touch with potential partners in these countries.
Were you satisfied with the assistance provided by BDO Consultants?
We eventually engaged BDO Consultants to do a market feasibility study on Australia, one of the cities which we had our eye on. The BDO consultants were prompt and professional in their approach. We met at regular intervals and conversed over the phone to ensure that the project was on track. They also provided us a proper format with which to conduct research and covered the key areas which needed to be explored.
BDO is experienced and has a regional network that can help to conduct market research effectively. They have certainly achieved the objective of the study in providing groundwork data and contacts for us to expand into those studied markets.
