Midas Holdings Limited lists successfully on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
Midas Holdings Limited (Midas), manufacturer of aluminium alloy extrusion products for the passenger rail transportation sector in the PRC, on 6 October commenced trading on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (SEHK).
In recognition of its consistent growth and profitability, Midas is one of only six companies, and the only aluminium alloy extrusion products manufacturer, in Asia to be included in Forbes Asia’s “Best Under A Billion” list for four consecutive years from 2006 to 2009. The company was also awarded the “Best Investor Relations Award (Gold)” at the Singapore Corporate Awards 2010 in the “S$300 million to less than S$1 billion market capitalisation” category. BDO assists in Yamada Green listing
BDO’s client, Yamada Green was one of the successful listings in recent months. BDO provided services to the company for its listing process acting as reporting auditors for the IPO exercise, forming part of the IPO professional team and performing the audit of the financial information forming part of the prospectus.
Yamada is the one of the largest self-cultivated shiitake mushrooms in Fujian, PRC to be listed on Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Ltd. Yamada also exported its processed foods products to Japan, USA and major cities in PRC.
Wah Loon Electrical Engineering among top 10 in Enterprise 50 Awards
Wah Loon Electrical Engineering has proven that this year, they not only have what it takes to remain viable but they are also amongst the top 10 companies in Singapore to do so. Wah Loon is one of the top ten winners of this year's Enterprise 50 (E50) Awards, an annual award that recognises 50 of the most enterprising privately held companies in Singapore.
Its projects have been as varied as the areas of expertise they represent. Wah Loon Electrical Engineering can aptly be considered a high achiever in the electrical engineering industry. It has performed electrical works on prominent buildings, such as Cathay Cineplex and Mandarin Oriental Hotel as well as Ministry of Sound, just to name a few.

Star360 CEO the Overall Winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Rotary-ASME
BDO would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our client on this significant win. With over 20 years experience in regional sourcing, design, distribution, and the retail industry, Mr Chaw at the helm of Star360 has built up an extensive global network in the brand name business. Having managed a distribution business for Adidas in Indo-China from 1996 to 1999, Mr Chaw went on to be the global licensee for design, sourcing and development for New Balance apparels from 1999 to 2002.
In 2003, he founded Runner's World Pte Ltd and secured the distributorship for Asics and Onitsuka Tiger in South East Asia. Three years later, he spearheaded the expansion into wholesale distribution and retail of sports and lifestyle footwear, apparels and accessories.
With Singapore as the headquarters, Mr Chaw set up regional offices in Kuala Lumpur, Thailand, Hong Kong, and soon in Manila. New regional offices are planned in Jakarta and Vietnam in the next two years.
