Accolades
In November 2004, BDO Raffles was one of the first 2 accredited employers to be awarded a ACCA Plus Gold by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in Singapore. We are also the first accounting firm to be awarded this ACCA Plus Gold Award and this was attributed to the vast efforts and contributions by BDO Raffles to the accounting scene in Singapore, whereby employment opportunities were generously offered to graduates from ACCA.

Professional Attachment from NTU
BDO Raffles regularly invites students from Nanyang Technological
University (NTU) to pursue an internship for 8-12 weeks as part
of their Professional Attachment (PA) module. The most recent Professional
Attachment 2004/2005 Semester allowed 13 students majoring in Accountancy
to get the feel of working in an accounting firm.
Professional Attachment from SMU
In the recent Professional Attachment 2005, 3 students from Singapore
Management University (SMU) were granted internship with us as part
of their PA module.
Professional Attachment from Polytechnics
We have
also invited students from Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic
and Temasek Polytechnic to undertake their required practical attachment.
Participation at NTU and SIM Career Fair 2005
Two major campus career fairs were held at National Technological
University (NTU) and Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) on
1-2 Feb 2005 and 30-31 Mar 2005, respectively. Campus interviews
were also held in NTU on the 19 May 2005. This prompted an excellent
response from the students majoring in accountancy and business
administration and furthermore, this lead to employment opportunities
in the various departments of BDO Raffles. |
